Year 5 have embarked on their design project in DT, creating a vehicle that uses pulley systems and an electric motor. Today’s challenge was to build an accurate vehicle chassis. The children needed to measure accurately, saw wood safely and assemble the chassis carefully joining the parts and strengthening the wooden frame. Lots of partner work, resilience and determination were needed to succeed. Next step - to add the axles and some wheels!
