Celebrating a brilliant week in 5KW last week - from battling the wind during badminton rallies, beginning our art sculptures, visiting the pond to complete our life cycles learning (spotting tadpoles and froglets) and finally applying aerodynamics to design and build bodywork for our DT cars — it was an action-packed, rewarding week!

Miss Manning's class have been learning about the life cycle of amphibians, the children looked at tadpoles and went for a hunt to the pond to see if they could find any frogs!

Reception children absolutely love mark making! Getting stuck into big, large-scale drawings isn’t just brilliant for developing both gross and fine motor skills—it also sparks so many lovely conversations. Today we chatted about colours, plants, people, measuring things, and even Elsa from Frozen made an appearance!

Our first session of gardening club yesterday involved checking on the progress of the strawberries and other plants as well as planting onions, rocket and sweetcorn. We look forward to seeing what progress they make throughout the summer term!

Welcome to the Willow Tree driving range! This afternoon Year 4 got out the golf clubs and used cones to measure the distance and try to beat their personal bests!

Who says SATs revision can’t be fun? This afternoon, Year 6 played The Traitors while revising punctuation and grammar. The traitor had to try and convince the faithful to answer questions incorrectly. It was lots of fun and there were plenty of excellent grammatical discussions going on!
