It's been fabulous to celebrate Apple Day with Woodlands Church Garden over the last two days! The children had the chance to explore the garden, taste some different varieties of apples and sample some of the fresh juice! The community garden is a fabulous place that is open to the whole school community - families are always welcome to visit but children should be accompanied and not go alone.

Year 5 have been delving in to our text 'The Boy at the Back of the class'. Last week we had lemon sherberts, this week we had pomegranate! The children were fascinated to see the 'ruby diamonds' inside!

We're so fortunate to have fantastic school grounds with incredible trees and habitats. Year 4 had a great afternoon exploring the school grounds observing and grouping plants by flowering and non-flowering and deciduous and evergreen trees. Why not ask them if they can identify the plants and trees on the journey to school this morning?
