As part of Brazil Day celebrations to conclude our Georgraphy topic, each Year 5 class has been making a special Brazilian treat, learning about the importance of the Amazon Rainforest, and practising their samba moves for a very special carnival celebration! In the afternoon the children got to taste-test their cheese bread, chocolate truffles and lemonade, show off their carnival masks and join in the samba rhythms!

Year Three loved hosting the Willow Tree Sculpture Park at the end of the school day! They showcased work inspired by their recent trip to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, where they saw the works of Barbara Hepworth and Henry Moore. Many children chose to incorporate windows in their designs like Hepworth, and all painted and glazed their work to look like the bronze works of Moore.
