Year 5 loved their topic day for Brazil dressing up in colours of the flag They experienced Samba and Bolero dancing, ate their Pico de Gallo and Brigadeiros, created artwork for their new year 6 rooms in the style of Romero Britto and made their own carnival masks! It was a great celebration of Brazilian culture to go alongside their Geography work

This morning, 5KH began their final novel study of the year with 'The Water Tower' and they were tasked with ordering the text from the story without any prior knowledge. We followed this with Book Club, whereby the children had to convince their partner that their book should be their next book to read. There was such passion in the room about their stories!

As part of their DT curriculum, year 5 have been creating snacks for their Brazil Day tomorrow. One class has made Pico de Gallo and the other class made brigadeiro. They will be sharing what they have made together tomorrow!

The Year 6 children who weren't visiting their high school today have had a fun morning playing Taskmaster. Some of the tasks included writing your name without using your hands and pulling the funniest face, as well as hopping on the spot and balancing a pencil on your face for as long as possible!

This morning ,Year 1 ended their sculpture unit by creating their own Eva Rothschild-inspired sculptures using raisins and cocktail sticks. The children also explored and tasted different fruits in preparation for making their own fruit kebabs on Friday. Parents are welcome to join us for making these on Friday 4th from 2.15pm - 3pm
